Clean 50
Dream with me…
Each year the Canada Clean50 Awards celebrate sustainability leaders across the country for the projects, innovations, and lifetime achievements that are helping to align Canada’s economic prosperity with a thriving and healthy environment.
Clean50 gives out awards for excellence in 16 different categories, including green investment, non-profits, advocacy, building innovation, clean technology, education, manufacturing, retail, and research, to name just a few, and in 2025 they turned to Event Rap Artist Baba Brinkman to create a rap anthem breaking down the categories, celebrating the top Clean16 winners, and paying tribute to the five lifetime achievement award winners.
The Awards are presented during a day of professionally-facilitated workshops generating relationships and new initiatives, and Baba attended the full day, premiering the anthem during lunch and taking notes to write and perform a ‘rap up’ recap of the day as the grand finale, with shout outs to all of the facilitators.
On a personal note, Baba’s mother Joyce Murray and father Dirk Brinkman are both sustainability leaders in Canada and past Clean50 honorees.
