Contentment Foundation State of the Union

The Contentment Foundation shares mindfulness training with governments, schools and organizations, so of course they wanted to celebrate their successes with a rap.

In 2022 and 2023 Baba Brinkman attended the Contentment Foundation’s State of the Union virtual gathering to hear the year-end report from Daniel Cordero and other leaders of the organization, welcoming members with a freestyle rap intro and then writing a lightening-fast ‘rap up’ recap of the discuss to perform over Zoom.

The icebreaker intro where attendees shared the highlights of their week, including one member who literally helped to deliver a newborn alpaca, gave the rap up some of its funniest and most touching lines.
