Description
The Center for Academic Research and Training in Anthropogeny (aka CARTA) at UCSD brings together a cross-disciplinary group of scientists and scholars to study human origins and the many ways our evolutionary past can help us to understand and solve key challenges in the present and future.
Event Rap worked with CARTA through 2022 for the organization’s 20th Anniversary to capture some of their key research questions, and research findings, in a series of rap videos, exploring everything from human evolution to the origins of language to key hypotheses explaining our anatomy, physiology, and lifestyle, including the Persistence Running Hypothesis and the Grandmother Hypothesis.
